Makhana has been grown in the wetlands of Mithila, Bihar for centuries — long before it became a global health trend. The lotus ponds of North Bihar produce some of the world’s finest fox nuts, now recognised with a coveted GI (Geographical Indication) tag — similar to Darjeeling tea or Alphonso mangoes.
At Grainhill, we go directly to these farms to source only the finest, plumpest fox nuts — handpicked for size and quality, carefully air-roasted, and sealed fresh to preserve every bit of their natural goodness.
